Another face in the crowd; happy (likely) in my little world. Borne to the hills, grew up in a valley of pines, watched grey clouds morph into shapes and burst upon the blue-green valley, myriad flowers magically blossoming on the monsoon drenched valley, the moss covered walls, a dampness, a mustiness, a slow fading greyness and a blue October sky, winter and the ochre and red charcoal, the fumes inducing my grandma to sleep and our cat snoozing away in the warmth, between my feet. All these images have had a profound influence, shaped my thoughts, shaped me in ways more than one. Living in the city of Bengaluru I’m still the small town boy, another face in the crowd.
